15 Months in the Mission

it’s been a slow week but it hasn’t been too bad

lets start off right away with our investigators . tuesday i had the craziest lesson of my whole mission. we ended up teaching about *prophets and the **10 commandments... it was a solid lesson of about 20 min. and then out of nowhere we spent about the next 2 hours talking about some problems that they were having in their family. we ended up giving them both a blessing and leaving with them with homework to help with their situation. we have seen them everyday since and they are doing a lot better. they are progressing and we are happy. we just hope that we can help them to the end.

other than them we don’t really have anyone else. we are looking and looking though references and contacts but we haven’t found anyone. the work is pretty slow right now but we are hoping that that changes. lontuè is a special place. there isn’t anything like it.

so we got the changes and both me and my comp are staying together but the twist is that we are going to have another elder with us. we are going to be in a trio. the other elder is a new kid... he has about 6 months. his name is elder espinoza  and he is from ecuador. i have no idea how it is going to work out. i hear that trios are fun but it is really hard to teach and contact with 3 so we will see what happens. i think that there were an odd number of elders so hence the trio.

the good news is that im going to have new missionaries in my district so i can now use the same lessons and twist them up a little bit. i’m pretty excited about that.

this past week i hit 15 months in the mission. everyone is talking about how the school year just started and im going to be home before it ends.   that is crazy to think about. im getting old in the mission but i still feel so young. some of my best friends in the mission are going home in 6 weeks and that is going to be sad. a lot of the guys i knew from my first change.  a lot of them are from utah so im sure im going to see them after the mission.

love you guys. thanks for your love and support. The Church is true.
